Cave of Forgotten Dreams
Director: Werner Herzog
Country: Canada, USA, France, Germany, UK
Running: 90 min
Chauvet cave was discovered by scientists in 1994. It has been closed for public access due to the fact that over three hundred animal paintings, the most ancient pieces of art in the world, are vulnerable to changes of air humidity in the cave. Scientists exploring the cave personally invited Werner Herzog to make a film that will give everyone interested a chance to see the unique paintings. Herzog picked 3D format to most truly convey the atmosphere.
